About Marley Carroll

Electronic producer, instrumentalist, and DJ Marley Carroll began his music career at age 17, winning the honor of Best Scratch DJ in a contest in his home state of North Carolina. Combining his skills as a classically trained pianist and percussionist with his deep interest in the electronic arts, Carroll spent the next five years writing, recording, and developing his craft as a producer, resulting in his 2007 debut LP, Melanaster. Influenced by classic shoegaze and early-2000s IDM artists, he continued to record out of his Asheville, North Carolina studio, releasing a variety of singles, EPs, and remixes that blended elements of dubstep and glitch with melancholic indie pop. Always evolving, Carroll began to establish himself as a vocalist as well as a live performer, touring with like-minded electronic artists such as Dabrye and Shigeto. In 2013 he released his second full-length LP, Sings. ~ Timothy Monger
