Slightly Stoopid is the best!

I love the new album. This is by far my favorite stoopid album since closer to the sun. My favorite jams are Guns in Paradise, Rolling Stone, Come Around and Time Won't Wait. Good work gents

Stoopid Rolls On

How fitting is it that my favorite band picks 420 to announce a new album and put out a new song?! So far I have only heard “Life Rolls On” but if that is a preview of what is coming on June 30, we’re in for another Stoopid classic. Kyle kills the vocals on this song and I am digging the little horn hook. It’s just a feel good summer time anthem….Right in time, the weather is just starting to get nice! Happy 420, can’t wait for the other tracks and see what these guys have put together from the “lab”.

Disappointed with this one

Big Stoopid fan here, but I’m just disappointed with this release. IMO, Top of the World was a monumental album for this band. Extremely diverse, great bass-lines, solid production with many musical textures, and it was mixed really well to top it off. But, …Back at the Lab is really a step backwards for them.

The use of a drum machine is just really weak here. There’s a real lack of horns/brass in this new album as well. And those great bass-lines and deep dub sound Stoopid is known for is sorely missed. I feel as a whole, this album was put together lacking effort, was hastily produced and
isn’t up to Stoopid standards of past albums (TotW, Chronchitis, Closer to the Sun).

It’s still loads better than much of the music being released these days, but I'm hoping their next album get’s back to the level of those mentioned above.
