iTunes Review

On their debut LP, Meat and Candy, Nashville’s Old Dominion breeze through 11 subdued, folk-tinged country tunes with the wit and chops of seasoned pros. Like the title suggests, they play serious themes against more lighthearted fare. For every “Nowhere Fast”—which plaintively recounts an old love that couldn’t last—there’s a good-times antidote (“Beer Can in a Truck Bed”) or an ode to the perfect girl (“Snapback”). The themes are dynamic, but so is the playing: Check out the big-sky atmospheres on closer "We Got It Right."

Awesome

I rarely buy the whole album of an artist but I did this one and love the entire thing! Wrong Turns and Til Its Over are the catchiest!!

They'll be one of the greatest!

This is the first complete album I've purchased and I love each and every song. Old dominion is on the rise!

Great new band and album!

I first heard Old Dominion in concert opening for Kenny Chesney and fell in love! I love all types of music so it is unimportant to me if they are considered true country or not!! The lyrics are very clever and their sound is unique and awesome! It is rare for me to like EVERY song on an album it to write a review. LOVE this music! They were great live and very humble. They will be big!
