As the original "SepulFreak!" I must say, this one is awesome! Buy Now!

This thing is a beast!

Upon my first listen to this I was not entirely sold. I love this version of Sepultura but thought they have maybe had a hard time finding a sound to follow up "Kairos". Well, after a few more spins on this, it is a monster! Andreas has the riffs and he has a lot of them. Derrick's vocals are insane and newbie Elroy on drums has the best drum sound since this band out out "Arise".

Love this lineup or hate it, this is Sepultura and I for one can not get enough!

This record blew me away on the first spin. Sepultura hasn't had this much fire in years. I've liked a couple tracks on each record since (and including) Roots - Against has a good Side A, Nation has some serious hardcore songs like Revolt and Human Cause, Apes of God and Corrupted are extremely hard songs, I like about 75% of Dante and A-Lex respectively, Kairos is the only one that largely lost me. It's thin production and 5 minute songs with 3 riffs each really left a ring in my ears. When I heard Sep was going back to Ross, I knew the product would be AT LEAST interesting. It's far beyond interesting. This record is their MOST AGGRESSIVE since Arise or Chaos AD. People who say the drums sound muddy - you're DEAF. People who say the songs sound uninspired - you're DEAF AND STUPID. The drummer is on fire, the riffs are great and Derrick isn't force singing - except on the track Grief - which has a great hook and chorus so it doesn't bother me. The production sounds strong, intense and REAL, not like a fake triggered bullllllshit kit like most modern metal. Buy this record. Best of 2013.

From their humble beginnings in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, Sepultura went on to become the most successful Brazilian heavy metal band in history. Over a ten-year period, the band grew from strength to strength, transforming itself from a primitive death metal ensemble into one of the leading creative trendsetters of the international aggressive music scene. Unfortunately, a bitter internal crisis almost destroyed the band, and Sepultura struggled to recover their previous momentum. Hailing from Brazil's...
