EDITORS’ NOTES

The Revivalists’ third album exudes the swampy, down-home flavor of previous efforts, yet the music also boasts a novel pop sensibility that’s equally delicious. Where “Fade Away” oozes the sweaty, Southern soul-rock that initially earned them a rabid fanbase, “Wish I Knew You” offers a whole new look, with David Shaw’s gruff croon dancing over sleek disco beats. The love-weary “Gold to Glass” goes further, thanks to its slinky Latin guitar licks and the kind of thumping bass that fuels modern R&B.

Finally!!!

What an amazing CD! I've been following these guys since I stumbled upon them at the green parrot in Key West about 5 years ago. Thank god they started branching out across the country instead of staying in the southeast. I was blown away when I first saw them and I'm so happy they are finally getting some well deserved recognition. Their music are grooves and is soulful at the same time. If you haven't seen them live I strongly recommend it- you'll love them even more!

Great Sound

I love this band, it's a mix the black keys and some other alternative bands. My favorite on this album is "it was sin"
