This is not Iona - UK...

iTunes does not distinguish two groups that each use the name Iona. Be careful to check which group you are looking for here.

Great fun

The US band Iona came first for what it's worth, which is probably not much. iTunes has got the albums for both bands merged under the bio of the UK band. That does both bands and their followers a disservice, but with millions of tunes in its library and neither of these bands near the top of the charts, it's easy to see how that might happen.

If you want to be constructive, contact iTunes and suggest that they clean it up. But don't rate the US Iona band's albums with one star just because it's not the band you expected. I've seen that a few times. The two bands are quite different. If US Iona's music is not what you listen to or "get" then at least give a neutral review, say three stars, as a way to put out your warning message.

Giving one star skews the averages for those who are aficionados of this type of music and would like it rated on the basis of its quality. Here's an actual review.

This is a lovely album with some things that are familiar to a Celtic music lover but mostly all kinds of new discoveries and interesting connections made. As usual, the musicianship is impeccable. Enjoy.
