Editors’ Notes

Michael Jackson is often credited as the artist who brought black music to MTV. Before Jackson's Thriller, MTV had been criticized for playing too few non-white musicians. Jackson gave the network no choice, offering up videos that were more like short films than stiff three-minute concoctions. This collection features 42 of Jackson's short films, including the John Landis–directed 14-minute "Thriller" and "Black or White," plus the 18-and-a-half-minute film directed by Martin Scorsese for "Bad." Other notable directors such as David Fincher ("Who Is It"), Spike Lee ("They Don't Care About Us"), Mark Romanek ("Scream"), Herb Ritts ("In the Closet"), and John Singleton ("Remember the Time") also made notable collaborations with Jackson. Just about every Michael Jackson video that one could want from the Off the Wall period onward is featured here, including 10 videos that had been previously unavailable for purchase. What an era it was!

Customer Reviews

Michael Jackson's Vision is great! The review not so much.

I want to put it out there. I am a Michael Jackson fan. Thru false allegations and his personal ups and down I have supported him and was gutted with his death. His music and videos where about of my WHOLE life.

With that said...anything I can say about anything pertaining to Michael Jackson's work will not be bias. With that disclaimer my issue is that the iTune's Album Review. The Review is critiquing the "This Is It" soundtrack...This is not the "This is It soundtrack". It a tribute to all the Michael Jackson's short films...if you want have the MAGIC that is MJ, a PIONEER OF THE MUSIC VIDEO...then purchase "Michael Jackson's Vision"

Not Fair

How is that Fair for the People that ALREADY BOUGHT all the michael jackson video's ( LIKE ME ) One thing i hate in my itunes Folder is Duplicates to a song, unless its a different album then its ok.. But still if i went out and bought this IM gonna have duplicates of these video's ...... Price the newest ( ALBUM ONLY ) stuff for double the price of a regular music video or something... I don't want to have the same copy of michael jackson's Video's or any Artist for that matter !

I can't believe it!

This is the greatest thing ever!!! I can't believe everything is there! I love it!!! MJ is the greatest artist ever!!!

Michael Jackson was unquestionably the biggest pop star of the late 20th century, and certainly one of the most popular recording artists of all time. In his prime, Jackson was an unstoppable juggernaut, possessed of all the tools to dominate the charts seemingly at will: an instantly identifiable voice, eye-popping dance moves, stunning musical versatility, and loads of sheer star power. His 1982 blockbuster Thriller became the biggest-selling album of all time (probably his best-known accomplishment),...
