I love this story!

In this story, Mickey Mouse and Horace Horsecollar are lead into a trap by three evil scientists named Professors X, Double X, and Triple X, who have made a hypno-ray to take over the world. Even though Horace falls into the professors' trance several times, brave Mickey fights his way through trap doors, crocodile pits, and his brainwashed horse friend to stop the professors and save themselves and the world. This story is very enjoyable with a well-done plot, hilarious scenes and quotes, and a spooky theme. The sound effects make it very easy to visualize what goes on in the story, and, after all, who doesn't love Mickey Mouse and his lovable personality? I strongly recommend it!

One of the scariest Disney stories ever!

I used to listen to this story on an old casset tape when I was a little kid, and it seriously freaked me out. The narrator is brilliantly creepy, and so are the characters. The story revolves around 3 proffessors named "X," "Double X," and "Triple X" who want to test their brainwashing machine on Mickey and Horace, who get locked in a castle. Normaly, I'd find this to be a very mild and innocent story. However, theres something about the way the narrator reads it, the use of sound effects, and the creepy music that raise this from an adorable Disney tale to the degree of a genuinely scary story. For this reason alone, I highly recomend you buy it. Perhaps it's not really as scary as I think it is, simply because I listened to it when I was a impressionable child, but it's still a lot of fun and it might show you a spooky side of Mickey that you're not used to.

A Floyd Gottfredson comics classic brought to life

This adventurous, radio show-style recording is based on Mickey's classic 1932 comic strip story, also called "Blaggard Castle." Reprinted several times in modern comic books, it was the work of famous Mickey writer/artist Floyd Gottfredson, the grand master of high Mouse adventure. It's great to finally hear Professors Ecks, Doublex, and Triplex (that's how their names are spelled in the comics, where they've also reappeared several times). Here's hoping an animated adaptation of their story is created someday as well.
