What happened to this classic???

For movie fans, Mike Oldfield's 1973 album "Tubular Bells" became a mesmerizing and creepy classic, as it's haunting piano riff became the centerpiece for the film soundtrack of "The Exorcist." While the cover art is the same, the haunting melody which used an entire side of the LP is gone! Why??? Only excerpts were on the soundtrack. So what genius decided to cannibalize this masterpiece?

Absolutely mesmerizing

This is the album that singlehandedly got me back into music. It's been over 40 years and still nothing has matched it for its creative genius and musical complexity. Beautiful work of art.

I like it

I like it. Reminds me of 8 and 16 bit video game music but i guess it came before then so maybe it influenced some of the cool video game tracks i liked as a kid..
