stunning

What a great collection of masterpieces of the 16th and 20th centuries. I'm excedingly pleased with the homogenous sound of the Garbrieli Consort. If you're a fan of British choral music, this is a must have collection. There are some well known gems, and also some not so well known ones that will quickly become favorites. My hat goes off to McCreesh and his choir for a well though out, produced, and recorded program.

The Gabrieli Consort & Players is one of England's best-known smaller early music choral and instrumental groups. It is particularly known for its interest in the century of Baroque music that preceded Bach, Handel, and Vivaldi. The group evolved from a student chamber choir and period-instrument ensemble founded at Manchester University, England, by student conductor and cellist Paul McCreesh in 1982.
