Album Review

Arlie's debut album recalls Japan's 1990s shibuya kei music boom, with a similar brand of laid-back electro-house mixed in with lounge and bossa nova. The similarity is compounded by production credits for neo-shibuya kei producer Ken Arai, (aka Eighteen Degrees), and club musicians Jazzin' Park.

Customer Reviews

A GREAT debut album from arlie!

I wasn't sure what to expect when I got this album. Fortunately, her house style suited my tastes perfectly. The tracks are really wonderfully produced and have a quality about them that is just spectacular, making them fun to listen to, and also really beautiful. This album rivals other artists' that have been around for a long time, and I'm really really excited for her future in the industry if she keeps up her originality, dedication to excellence, and experimentation.

Great album!

Nice debut album by Arlie. Some of the tracks may not stand out at first, but they will grow on you as you listen to them more. Its a nice blend of piano melodies and house beats. Some of her same songs appear on the artist Jazzin' Park's other CD's as remixed versions. Check'em out!
