Customer Reviews

Alex Skolnick is g0D!

I find that jazz guitarists sometimes get a little long winded. When it's Skolnick that's just not so. He is a superb jazz guitarist (not bad for a guy that played in the thrash metal band Testament in the late 80's early 90's.) He has definitely grown as an accomplished guitarist a thousandfold. He can take an old metal song like IRON MAIDEN'S The Trooper, and re- arrange it and make it new and exciting as well as famillar.Every song is pure perfection. Break out of the box and give it a listen. It may not be for just anyone, but either way, you will definitely appreceiate it.

Alex Skolnick: Transformation

Man this album is good. I haven't had that much of an interest in jazz before this. This guy is amazing. If you aren't gonna get the whole album, you need to get Electric Eye, Blackout, and Scorch. They are all great tunes. But, I would love to see Alex Skolnick put out another album, he is very, very talented.

Simply great

Music like this attracts fans of many different genres. It's that good. See them live.

By his late teens, Skolnick was taking lessons from a then-unknown Joe Satriani, before signing on with...
