The greatest band. Iconic record. Plus LIVE!

Automatic For The People marks one of many high points for R.E.M.

This landmark record includes some of their finest work ever. "Nightswimming," "Everybody Hurts," and "Find the River."

To me, Michael, Peter, Mike and Bill were the greatest band. Ever.

If you don't know them, this is a great place to start. Can't wait to hear the live versions and rarities.

Long live the music of R.E.M.

Execllent album from "america's greatest rock n'roll band"

A stone cold classic front to back and this release is no different. The production and mastering, live tracks, and demos help make this 2017's top album of the year. The Dobly Atmos mix is also outstanding adding shading to the album never heard before. a whole new/different album uneathered released today. As for the reviewer who said "you guys retired, that means no more money grabs off of old stuff. sorry.", go stuff a sock in it. YOU cannot deride one band for doing what every other band/major label has done since records could be sold.

That includes Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Elvis Presley, Nirvana, Grateful Dead, The Moody Blues, Soundguardon, The Who, The Police, The Pixies, Journey, Steely Dan, Kansas, Ah-ha, and David Bowie. Not to mention the countless other working musicians who are still doing it. R.E.M. has been doing these "25th anniversrary" re-issues since 2008 when they were still a working band. So this is no "CASH GRAB". Plus they've been doing this type of thing since 1988 and if you hadn't got a beef then you certainly don't have one now. Don't critize the release of the material. Critize the material released. Review, don't vent.

Best Album Ever - A crowning achievement

25 years later and AFTP is still the greatest album ever recorded. It’s that simple.
