Customer Reviews

Extremely impressive debut!

I have never written a music review of any kind before but I am blown away after stumbling upon this new artist who seems to have gotten zero attention so far. She's Irish and apparently she had an accident with a lawnmower as a child. Somehow that obscure incident transformed her into an incredibly talented singer/songwriter! I find it hard to define the genre of her music or compare her to anyone in particular, but she is a passionate performer with a great voice and really soulful and interesting melodies. I also recommend checking out a video or two of her on youtube (try Circles). She looks so happy when she's singing she almost made me cry! So far I can't decide which tracks I like best... I tend to get sick of music very quickly but I have a feeling I will get my money's worth out of this album. I've got my fingers crossed for this promising talent!

An artist burgeoning with talent

Wallis Bird is a musician that (seemingly) can do no wrong. I've had a fixation with her songs since early-to-mid 2007, and the talent in this woman's hands is undeniable. A fast-growing fixture in Europe, Bird's elegant and airy tunes/lyrics are spreading virally to the U.S., and you could do much worse than ride this wave. If you want a litmus test on Bird's likability-factor, give a listen to "The Circle," "Counting to Sleep," and "You Are Mine." Cheers, all, and hope you find yourselves bouncing your head in the car to this artist as much as I do.

Wallis Bird is amazing
