when Christian music wasn't so corporate

Mylon LeFevre and Broken Heart made records when Christian artists used to make projects that didn't all sound alike. There are a few artists today that manage to accomplish this (Ashley Cleveland comes to mind), but a lot of today's music sounds the same. Artists that don't fit the mold just don't get played on most Christian radio stations.
This album comes from the era when a song writer could put his or her heart on a page and the musicianship was fresh. The songs hang together as a project, but they are all individually memorable. This is old style contemporary Christian music: the music mattered because the songs were deeply personal to the artist. It comes through in the performance. Check out the harmonies on "Its Almost Over" and "More of Jesus". The southern sensibilities come through. The music is crisp without being sterile, and the music inspires instead of bores. This is good stuff. Give it a listen.

A great to start

Back in the day when Christian music was in its infancy this album stood out among what few artists there were at
that time and still stands out today because like then the lyrics come from and speak to the heart. Because of mylon
and this album I was introduced to christian music and am so happy to see it on itunes as I have it on mint condition
vinyl. i then recorded on to metal cassette tape and have been playing it ever since. The one thing itunes needs to add
is LIVE FOREVER his 1982 live album which would be a great compliment to his 1981 MORE album. By itself it is still
worth buying and having Rock on

Definitely More

This album was my first introduction to MLBH. I was hooked! Even today finding it on ITunes it still moves me. This proves that even though the music may be dated the Word of God in the lyrics never will be. Just as powerful the first day I heard it! Thank you Mylon.
