Review written by Andrea Guy

The Jack Ward Project offers "More Or Less" as their introduction to the world. From the first chords, it is easy to see that Jack Ward is influenced by the post-grunge sound. They cite their influences as bands such as Fuel, Seether and The Foo Fighters.

"More Or Less" is a moody rocker. The guitars grab your attention, without screaming; they actually wail. The guitars, more than anything, convey the dark, gloomy mood of this song.

This is not a song to play for anyone who is depressed. The lyrics convey the feelings of hopelessness and sadness that come with relationship woes.

"I'm getting older and I'm falling harder. Feels like it's time for me to leave. You've been so down on me. You used to laugh but now you cry. Convinced that I'm the reason why. Now I feel all torn up inside. It's days like these I'd rather die."

This song really evokes too many emotions, sadness, frustration, even love. That's quite a range of feelings to cram into a five-and-a-half minute tune.

This song is not just a song about a breakup. It's more a snapshot of a relationship that is on the verge of ending. The closing lines of the song illustrate that point: "In my mind I'm so confused. Cause I can't make it without you. And I can't take much more of this. So hate me more or love me less."

The song will leave you emotionally spent by the time Jack Ward sings those last words. That is testament to a song that is well-written. Not only is it a song that you can rock out to, but it speaks to your mind as well.

"More Or Less" is a great introduction to The Jack Ward Project. It will have listeners eagerly waiting for more music from the band.
