Surprisingly fresh re-working of Roxy / B Ferry "hits"

Though Roxy Music were more influential than popular, their legacy has touched musicians over the generation or so since they initially disbanded, and Bryan Ferry began his solo career in earnest. This interesting collection doesn't aspire to the ubiquitous "tribute" album retread. These relatively-unknown collaborators extend the Roxy brand to the contemporary dance floor, and that's just fine, thank you. Roxy would have appreciated this re-interpretation. Best songs are "Same Old Scene," which uses a bit of sample from the original for texture, "Wildcat Days," "Love is the Drug," "More Than This," basically all of the Roxy tunes. It's weaker in including Bryan Ferry solo hits like "Kiss and Tell," and "You Do Something to Me." Please, if your a Roxy fanatic, and think the music's sacrosanct, don't bother with this. However, if what you appreciate about Roxy Music can be broken down and reassembled (as here) with new life and enjoyment, give this one a shot.
