Album Review

There are some occasional bright spots on this late '80s album by outstanding session guitarist Paul Jackson, Jr. But because it's halfway between instrumental pop and fusion, Jackson and such guests as Gerald Albright and George Duke never really cut loose and displayed their full skills, while the vocals from O'Bryan and others were generic and delivered in a flat, routine manner.

Great Tracks

Paul Jackson Jr. and company put together some brilliant jazz/fusion dance tracks and the best of them is on this collection. 'I Came To Play' is a fabulous groove with lots of energy from start to finish. The solo work on this track alone is worth the price of the album.
