good, not great

Iam one of the biggest elizabeth fraser fans, with that said, I think this song is just mediocre. I dislike the "french sound" and it sounds a little trip hop generic for me. I would really love it if she went for something totally fresh. Like perhaps, doing songs that were more stripped down to showcase that heavenly voice of hers. I really dont think she will ever capture the essence and magic she had with robin guthries masterful guitar work in the cocteau twins....

My song of 2009

A partial return

This is an interesting song, yes Liz sounds great as always, but it pales compared to the two splendid EPs, amazing solo album, and magnificent work with John Foxx that Robin Guthrie put out in all within 2009. Hopefully this is just the beginning of Liz's renaissance, but in the meantime I'll happily go back to Carousel.
