Move Over (Gorillianaire Mix)

One of the best things about the original was Janis singing along as the lead guitar played the lead vocal melody and that is gone in this version. This mix does nothing to make the song better and actually seems to get in the way.

Musical Abortion

This is a crime against music.

Not a remix -- an evisceration

As mentioned, the interplay between Janis and her band is completely gone as is the ferocious funk that drives it. A good remix re-emphasizes what is there; this one rips out the heart and soul of the original. Too bad, because the original is ripe for a great groove (check out the remix of Nina Simone's version of "Ain't Got No" for one that works).
