One of the great bands from the late-80s/early 90s

A band with inspired humor, catchy songs, & serious charisma. I'm not sure why they aren't more famous, but I'm glad to see them here on iTunes. I saw them a handful of times around Sacramento, including their live recording party at Enharmonik studios, and they always brought it. These songs remind me of a less complicated time. Great memories. Cheers to VL where ever you all may be.

(PS: Bassist Larry Crane went on to open a studio in Portland, and still edits the magazine Tape-Op.)

A Wonderful Band

Vomit Launch was one of the finest bands of the late 1980s and early 90s. Saw them live in Seattle and in Olympia and they rocked both times. "Mr Spench" is a great album. Every song tells a story and is delivered with sonic energy. Thrasher's guitar is lyrical, and the lead vocals are delivered as if this is the last night in rock 'n' roll history. The lyrics to "Every Pretty Girl" are smart and the passion and musicanship is equal to the best of the Throwing Muses, Replacements and Fastbacks. Listening to Vomit Launch reminds me of the glory years of college radio. If you have ever fallen in love or gotten a bit too drunk at a party you will love this album.
