Phenomenal album

I became a fan of singer Marty Casey on the Rock Star: INXS tv show this summer, and I was pleased to discover he had a band back home in Chicago called the Loverhammers, and that one of their albums was offered on iTunes. I was even more pleasantly surprised at how hard his band's music was. Good, old fashioned hard rock with some punk and pop mixed in for good measure. I had this album on a near constant loop on my iPod for several days after I bought it, it was so addictive. I hope these guys get signed and I hope iTunes offers the band's other albums in the future.

My favorite running cd

Loved Marty on RSINXS, but he's exponentially better with Lovehammers. The songs are peppy with moody, anguished lyrics. A perfect combination. Marty's voice is strong and versitile with both power and sweetness. Take this cd on your next run and you'll fly... I don't understand why "Low life Insurance (Let's Get Wasted) isn't on the radio - It's a must for parties.

Love this album!! It's a must buy for all Marty Casey fans

I can't believe the Lovehammers haven't been picked up by a label yet. I love this album and almost everysong on it. I love "Better Off (Walk Away), Clouds, and Call of Distress." I recommend this album for all fans. You won't be disappointed.

Singer Marty Casey formed the band when he was only 14, with bassist Dino Kourelis, drummer Bobby Kourelis, and guitarist Billy Sawilchik rounding out the lineup. Practice, practice, and more practice finally led to steady local gigs where their grunge-meets-hard rock sound earned them a...
