Symphonic Mayhem In The Mighty Thirlwell Manner

JG Thirlwell spent three albums creating scores for imaginary films under the name Steroid Maximus. The producers of the Venture Bros. got the hint, and he's supplied music to all 3 seasons of the animated show. Some of these songs have been percolating for going on 2 decades. They are unleashed in full on, two fisted, haus-on-fah versions here, and fulfill the promise that's always been present in Thirlwell's instrumental works.

Venture Bros. The Music Of J.G. Thirlwell, Vol. 1 Review

I really enjoyed this soundtrack greatly. J.G. Thirlwell provides you with slow and colorful pieces to fast-paced and rocket spliting horn action sequences. Thirlwell has music that will seem unfamiliar to your taste and thats what makes it very enjoyable. The orchestral and horn sections are magnifisent and are lively through out the c.d. so you won't be to the point were you have to close your eyes to get to the good squences of the song. Gawker, Fumblestealth, Tuff, No Vacancy (VB Theme), and Assclamp are my favorites in this c.d. The reason why I chose these pieces is because they provide you with the live action, ochestral and horn squences that I love in a song. I enjoy David Arnold's Bond Scores because no matter what they keep you feeling something. J.G. Thirlwell has a similar aspect to him and to hear those fight like speed pieces of the music was great and entertaining to my ears. The songs I listed out in this review I highly recommend. You'll enjoy this c.d. and its definetally well worth the money if you are familiar with the scores in Venture Bros.
