TwinstarDJ is clueless

Obviously this person has no clue what he's talking about...Or he grew up on a farm in Idaho.. Now me being a person who was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY...Freestyle was on the radio in the late 80's early 90's nonstop...It's awesome.. If you don't know what you're talking about..shut yer yap... True, not everyone is a freestyle fan...but the people that matter are...

Freestyle is not for amateurs

Freestyle is some of the greatest music the US produces - it's unique to NYC & Miami and I would describe as having the best beats and basslines topped with kinda cheesy vocals. It's not about the tracks it's about the beats. It sounds commercial, but it's deeeep underground. If you had ever heard it rocked at the Cocacabana in NYC loud you'd know. This is NOT for lame commercial rap-dance blockheads who think they understand music but really only understand what MTV tells them to. I may be a 40 year old white boy - but I know my history. Word!

I just love Freestyle

I'm originally from Germany and actually "encountered" Freestyle for the first time on my first trip to Miami back in the 80s. Since then, I'm completely into Freestyle. I listen to all kind of Dance music, Hip Hop, R&B, etc. but Freestyle still is special to me. I'm 41, married with two kids and I'm what people call an "intellectual". I love Freestyle, it always reminds me of the great time I always had in Florida. And since I visit Florida each year, I still have that great time...with the family. It is just sad that Freestyle is almost dead, no really new music tracks and my favorite radio station Power 96 changed their style too, even if they still play Freestyle from time to time.
