A Phenomenal Talent

To the douchebag named Steven who gave Leah’s EP a 2-star rating because this apparently is too formulaic and isn’t “real country.” Umm last I checked, you don’t have to be “original" or “country" to get airplay on country radio. Just look at the country charts right now. It is dominated by boys singing about trucks and beer and tailgates and girls who are honest to God indistinguishable from one another. And many of them aren’t really country either. For example, Luke Bryan’s "Play It Again" is the reigning champ on Hot Country Songs and yet it can hardly be considered legitimate country. It’s got the exact same "digital drum sound" that you are criticizing Leah for.

That my friend is the definition of a double standard. When you expect women to conform to your standards of perfection and allow the boys to sing whatever the hell they please. Oh and in case you’ve been living under a rock for the past year - Kacey Musgraves has everything you desire in a country artist and yet country radio still didn’t support her. So how do you explain that?

There's a reason female artists are not blooming

This artist has a great voice and she's a great vocalist however female country artists want to be played more on country radio but in order to be heard on country radio you have to record country songs and these are pop songs. Every song has the digital drum sound in which sounds the same as the previous song. Miranda Lambert & Carrie Underwood are the only two female artists that come to mind when you're describing solid artists as females in country music. These songs on this album are good but not country. If women want to be heard on the radio then give us a reason to be heard on the radio and leave the bubble gum garbage at home. Where's Reba when you need her the most?

Even better than I expected.

Loved "Take The Keys" and "Pull Me Back" first. The other songs are just as good. Can't stop listening.

Genre: Country

Country singer and songwriter Leah Turner grew up on a Morongo Valley, California ranch, the daughter of a championship rodeo header, and she was exposed to country music early, writing her first songs when she was only six years old. While attending college at UCSB, she gravitated toward music and songwriting classes, and finally moved to Los Angeles to try the music scene there. Her demos found their way to producer Humberto Gatica, and Turner began cutting tracks with Gatica and producer David...
