I LOVE Mary Wells.......

This record is from the good old days, when swing music was so popular. We used to have the red light in the basement dances and charge 20 cents to get in and let all our friends in for free. That is when real fun was REAL fun and you used to play spin the bottle and kiss all the cute guys and the homely guys you used to pass off on your girlfriends, until you found out that the homely guys could REALLY kiss good! WOW, what a time, I really miss all the fun and the games we used to play at parties. We used to do the Cha-Cha to this record, so much fun!!!!!

This is the version you want!!!

This is the best collection offered here of Mary Wells. One look at the "popularity rating" above will show you this. This is music to sit back, put on the earphones, close your eyes and just smile. This is the music to take you back to a time when you knew all the words to all the music. You will find you still do because you will be singing along as you listen to this. This is wonderful feel good music.

The full-throated approach of that single was quickly toned down in favor of a pop-soul sound. Few other soul singers managed to be as shy and sexy at the same time as Wells (Barbara Lewis is the only other...
