Album Review

The second Glee soundtrack throws a bone to the show’s supporting characters, with Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina) singing her first solo and Amber Riley (Mercedes) receiving a larger chunk of airtime. Lea Michele and Matthew Morrison continue to steal the show, though; Morrison delivers one of the album’s most inventive songs with a mash-up of “Don’t Stand So Close to Me” and “Young Girl,” while Michele sings the absolute pants off of everything the producers give her.

Another Outstanding Outing from the Glee Cast

This is a great release from the cast of the hit Fox series, Glee. The tracks stand on their own, with Charlie Chaplin's "Smile" as a standout song. Amber Riley does a great job on the Dreamgirls hit, "And I'm Telling You I'm Not Going," with a rendition that belies her youth. Matthew Morrison's mashup of "Don't Stand So Close to Me/Young Girl" is inspired and wonderfully done.

Keep bringing the hits, Glee. We'll keep buying. GLEEKS ARISE!

Best Show to come along in a long time

This show seems to take old songs and make them seem new and fresh again, I listen to glee in the car/shower/gym, basically whenever I can. Glee rocks and has brightened my otherwise dull life.

The numbers looked bleak, but Billboard's music charts told a different story the following week, when the Glee version of Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" became a Top Five hit. Performed during the pilot by the castmates themselves, the song eventually sold over 700,000 downloads and paved the way for Glee's...
