Album Review

16 Most Requested Songs is a midline-priced collection that spotlights many of Robert Goulet's best-known and most popular performances for Columbia Records, including "If Ever I Would Leave You," "What Now, My Love?," "Real Live Girl," "If I Ruled the World," "Take Me in Your Arms," "Sunrise, Sunset," "For Once in My Life," "Somewhere My Love," "Who Can I Turn To (When Nobody Needs Me)," and "The Impossible Dream." Although it's far from a perfect retrospective of his career, it's still a nice sampler of familiar items, and it may satisfy the needs of some casual fans who only want the hits.

Robert Goulet

As my mother was dying of cancer last year I wondered what I could do for her. I loved music as much as she did. I came home one day from Houston Hospice House and I thought I could make CD's with her favorite music for her. I started remembering songs I would here her hum or listen on the radio. I remembered her love for Robert Goulet. I downloaded one of her favorite songs If I Ever Leave You. As she laid for her last days the nurses played the CD's I made for her. Knowing my mother passed away listening to music she loved made me happy. Now when I play that song I smile and think of my mom.

Absolutely Magnificent

The last of the great baritones. The melodic deep tones his voice projects trancends that of any other singer. To say the least, the Angels in Heaven now have their lead singer.
