Customer Reviews

Honest and true

I love this mans voice, his guitar playing and his song selection. I was first amazed how much he could sound like Marty Robbins and then I started listening to all of his music. He is incredible. Cowboy music is honest music and Don performs it about as good as anyone that is playing it today. He can do many styles but I love it when he just plays and sings straight and true. Plus he puts on a great show. I was a bit surprised at the different version of "Union Mare and Confederate Gray" as I loved the version Waylon Jennings did. "Hard Times" gives some of his view points about the governments incursionn into the life of the cowboy and the old (and new) west. Love it. Give this a listen and then go back and pick up on all of his catalogue
