Fallen In Love...AGAIN

Ive been a devision fan since I heard "Moments We Shared" on a mix CD (I believe it was A Different Drum's Rinse, Mix & Spin) sometime in 1998 or 1999. Since that time, i have been continually amazed, surprised and overjoyed by the quality and quantity of FANTASTIC music this band has produced. However, Unlike most of the reviewers here, I was not in love with 6feetUnderground. I thought it was poor follow up to Devolution. Not one song even measured up to previous albums. "Im Not Dreaming of You" is the only song that even made it to my IPOD. I am happy to say that I have fallen in love with Devision again. This album is amazing! I agree with a previous post that listed the best and worst songs, pretty much hit it on the head for me with one exception: I think if you ignore the three bad lines in The End, you will find that it is probably the best song on here. My ranking would probably be Obey Your Heart as #1, The End as #2 (because of those lyrics), No Tomorrow as #3 and Star-Crossed Lovers as #4. The rest of the songs Im still listening to because Ive found over the years that a De/vision song that may not be so great on first listening, can become my favorite a month later (a great example would be "Far Too Deep" off Devolution.)

Can't sit still!

This album is so hot, it's a seat dancer: you can't sit still while you listen to it! Just listen to Subtronic, for example. It reminds me of a lot of good electronic industrial I enjoy, like Informatik/Din Fiv, but the vocals are much more melodic. In fact, I haven't heard anything this good in a while. I actually like most goth-electronic, but I'm truly in love with more "old school" electronic (if there's such a thing) like God Lives Underwater (the greatest band EVER). This is more like that but a lot more danceable.

De/vision is a synth-pop band from Darmstadt, Germany, consisting of vocalist Steffen and keyboardists Thomas and Markus. The trio formed in 1988 and released several full-lengths, EPs, and remix albums. They signed to WEA Records in 1997, and in November 1998 celebrated ten years together by releasing Zehn, a best-of which includes many of their own remixes. Markus left the band in 2000 and De/vision continued...
