iTunes Review

“Give me words to speak/Don’t let my spirit sleep,” implores Aaron Shust at the start of this tremendous album. He laments that he “can’t think of anything worth saying,” but inspiration strikes pretty quickly: The intro is followed by 11 tracks of uplifting, worshipful rock, adorned with big guitars and sly electronics, but most noteworthy for their earnest adoration. All the songs land, but the showstopper is the soaring ballad “My Savior My God.”

Anything Worth Saying is Something Worth Buying

Aaron's debut album "Anything Worth Saying" will be a landmark in years to come in, not only in Christian music, but in music as a whole. Aaron uses new ways to explore the modern music. His intricate voicings and enticing hooks make "Anything Worth Saying" stay at the top of its listener's playlists. Aaron's songwriting is just enough off the beaten path to be refreshling new; while at the same time being soothingly comfortable. Aaron teamed up with Atlanta producer Dan Hannon for this project, and chemistry was never more volitile. Dan's additive magic has put this album on a soaring climb to the top of Christian radio. Aaron also signed with Brash Records out of Atlanta, Georgia. Aaron has been the only Christian artist to sign with Brash. This speaks volumes for the caliber of this album. This also shows how Aaron is pioneering the Christian music scene. Anything Worth Saying does not seperate itself from the music community at large. Instead, it brings Christian music into the respectable music community. Anything worth saying is something worth buying; so get it.

I'm a Skeptaholic...

I struggle to enjoy the CCM scene, especially when it comes to "worship" music. I'm pretty skeptical about new faces, new voices and new sounds. Aaron's music has really captured me, though, and I love the lyrical depth he presents in a lot of his songs. This is a very enjoyable album because the music is done well, the lyrics present depth AND meaning and you walk away thinking about the ONE whom the music is about, not the the one who wrote the music. Great album Aaron.

Original and yet not... I like it!

Aaron is an artist who is up and coming. He will make one day, if he gets heard by the right people. He has a sound that permeates Christian radio, of late, but he retains a quality all his own. I like his mix between powerchords and acoustic rock! A+ in my book.
