Early Reba At Her Best

This album, originally released in 1980 by Polygram Mercury, shows the "Nashville Sound" that drowned out Nashville in the late 70s and early 80s. Reba was not allowed to choose the material she sang at the time. Country music, at the time, was still "a man's world." Most of Nashville, including this album, sounded like Adult Contemporary instead of the Country format. Gems on this album include (You Lift Me) Up to Heaven (her first Top 10 single), Long Distance Lover, If I Had It My Way, I Can See Forever In Your Eyes, and Look At The One (Who's Been Lookin' At You). Fans of the contemporary Reba music may not like this album, but it definitely worth a listen!
