Sexiest song I've ever heard.
My first run in with Gavin Friday was probably like most of America. I heard Angel on the Romeo & Juliet soundtrack. A year later, I was making out with my boyfriend in college when he put two CDs in the player. The first was Passengers and the second was Gavin Friday, Shag Tobacco. The title track from Shag Tobacco was by far the sexiest music I had ever heard and, had I not been a scared little virgin, I would have probably jumped my boyfriends bones. Not to worry, though, I did about a year later and we are now married with three kids.
The best part is that it's still the sexiest music that I have ever heard and it's STILL on high rotation in the bedroom. Hey, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Spoon in the sugar... knife in the butter...
This album is a masterpiece. If you've only heard "Angel," do yourself a favor and introduce yourself to more of Gavin Friday's work. At the very least, listen to the title track here, and "Caruso," and "The Last Song I'll Ever Sing."
