Why does anyone create a review before an album is even out? How can you even get a feel for an album when only one song is released? Then rate a whole album based off one song that was released?

Been a huge fan since day one. Her live show will have every hair on your neck standing UP!

Lissie is back! And better than ever

The emotion that Lissie is able to capture is unrivaled. She has a rawness to her voice and her lyrics seem to genuinely reflect her life experiences. There really isn't a bad song on this album. It's much more personal and introspective than much of her previous work. Hope she keeps making music because she has pure unadulted talent.

Lissie Maurus was raised in the riverside town of Rock Island, Illinois, and she drew upon those blue-collar Midwestern origins to create her own form of indie folk music. The granddaughter of an international barbershop quartet champion, she grew up singing in theater productions, eventually picking up the guitar and playing her own songs at local coffee shops as a teenager.
