Natural Born Killers (Soundtrack from the Motion Picture)

Trent Reznor was the perfect choice to score Oliver Stone's mind-messing movie Natural Born Killers. His soundtrack maintains the film’s jarring, cut-and-paste structure, changing scenes at will, sticking in dialogue clips, even cutting a few songs off in the middle. Between hardcore hip-hop (Dr. Dre, Tha Dogg Pound) and punk pounders (L7, Patti Smith), perfectly innocent Bob Dylan and Patsy Cline songs are used to chillingly ironic effect. In the midst of all this chaos, Reznor's aching "Something I Can Never Have" is the moment of sanity.
