Customer Reviews

Great song writer and great producer make excellent music.

I first heard Wendy in 2000 (she was a wee pup) but she has not stopped getting better. Her mystic soul song writing and voice are almost painfully beautiful, but in that good pain way. You know what I mean, you read reviews on itunes.

Another great set from Wendy.

I stumbled upon Wendy about 10 years ago when I was in Austin for business. She just happened to be playing in the restaurant in which we were having dinner. A decade and three albums later, she's still a favorite. "Nectar" is a great listen, with a nice variety of influences -- you can hear a bit of Bonnie Raitt, Adele, Diana Krall and even Blossom Dearie coming through, but it's all pure Wendy. The production is also top notch with a great job by whoever ran the mixing board.

Sweet Nectar

Wendy and producer Mark Addison make a great team. From the playfulness of the ukulele-heavy "The Water's Fine" to the lazy afternoon comfort of "Texas Summer Love" to the surprisingly emotional anthem "Girl Without a Name", Wendy's voice - both literal and figurative - has never been more beautiful, more powerful, and more full of her unique blend of confidence and longing.

And I didn't even mention my favorite song on the album, "Dance With the Moon" - how can you not love a song that features a musical saw?
