iTunes Review

On their fourth full-length, Need Your Light, Syracuse, NY’s Ra Ra Riot begin by diving into “Water” with a clangy major-chord buzz that reverberates through much of the album. The echoing drums of “Absolutely” beat heavily alongside jangling guitar refrains, while singer Wes Miles propels the swinging, racing rhythm of “Instant Breakup” with an emotional chorus that rises atop Rebecca Zeller’s sweeping strings. By the time we hit the gorgeous, danceable sway of the closing “Suckers,” you’ll be filled with more than enough light to illuminate the night.
