Album Review

Although Beavis and Butt-Head made them into a notorious joke, Grim Reaper was actually capable of turning out some high-quality melodic British metal, even if they took precious little time to become a parody of themselves. The Best of Grim Reaper picks the best tracks from the band's three albums (See You in Hell, Fear No Evil, and Rock You to Hell) and provides a pretty definitive overview of their career, although devotees of the first two albums may find a favorite track or two missing. Still, it's as much as a casual fan could want, and some of it proves that as a melodic power-metal band, Grim Reaper was a bit underrated.

Great Compilation

This is a great Grim Reaper compilation. Unfortunately Grim Reaper is sooooo underrated; I can't believe I'm the first reviewer. Two highlights are "See You In Hell" and "Rock You To Hell", though the rest of the tracks are also great.

very good stuff

I agree that this band is underrated. I think there should be more grim reaper on itunes but, I appreciate this great compilation of music

I'm with you

I agree that reaper is a bit more underated than they should be. the sound is great and they sound like they would be Fantastic in concert. A bit like Maiden. it's not too wimpy and it is not too heavy. I really dig the sound.

Formed: Droitwich, England

Genre: Rock

Years Active: '70s, '80s, '00s, '10s

The fact that Grim Reaper was capable of combining the above attributes so competently, yet truly excelled at none of them resulted in an exceedingly swift "rags to glory and back to rags" story, which somehow was as surprising as it was strangely fitting.
