Timeless

Just graduated from high school, future so uncertain and yet full of opportunities, the economy and the US riding high, an 18 year old could not have been in a better place than Southern California when Depeche Mode was at the top of thier game and rockin a croud like Pasadena! In my 40's now,it still evokes the same natural high when I hear these tunes.

Out of this world

My dad has been a Depeche Mode fan since he was introduced to them back in 1990. He introduced me to them with this album when I was 6 and I have been a die hard fan ever since. Depeche Mode is one of a kind. No one can match their unique sound. Depeche Mode is one of those bands where you can hear the first second of any of their songs and say, "That's Depeche Mode."

What made me a DM fan !!

Some performers have a very rough time translating from their albums presentation to a live venue. You wouldn't think that an electronic/synth/dance ensemble like Depeche Mode would be able to pull it off....but they do....exceptionally well.
This was my introduction to Depeche Mode right after I graduated high school, and I've been a fan ever since. Hopefully we can see the documentary/concert film on iTunes someday that this is the companion piece to as it paints a very vivid picture of what Depeche Mode was all about back then...as well as their fans and their devotion to them.It can truly be seen as the precursor and inspiration to the whole "Real World/Road Rules" reality t.v. craze that has permeated pop culture in the last several years.
This is a must-own for anybody that is a fan of the band or of the genre.
Depeche Mode is a very giving band when it comes to their fans...as is evidenced by their current practice of recording every stop on their tour and making available to the public.
101 is where that all started for them.
