The Association November 1968

I see no big problem with this particular album. The sound from them is spot on ! Particularly ,Windy, Along Comes Mary, Never my love and Cherish. The song Windy was one of the songs we sang in my high school A Cappella group! Oh yea , Cherish too! Of course we couldn't Sing Along Comes Mary! Geez why? I think in music as well as reading a book. You have to decide what makes that music group or book "good" It is what you get out of it personally . My music interests are very eclectic . I'm a hard core rock fan but, I leave room to hear different genres and pick what I like .

Explanation for the quality

The reason that these songs have less-than-perfect quality is because of the Haeco-CSG processing on the original master recordings. It was intended to sound essentially the same on both stereo and mono systems, but obviously have degrading effects on songs like "Windy" and "Cherish".

Original tunes and sound - wrong album review

This was the first piece of vinyl I bought, back in the sixties. Yes, the left-right balance is of the period, not what people are used to now, but the sound on most tracks is exactly how I recall it. At first listen it sounded bad, but I think that’s just how it was released.

NOTE that once again, iTunes has posted the wrong 'album review'. None of the tracks named in the review are actually on this album. Not to mention the rather perverse view that the only good band was an album band….
