Brian Moss does it again

I continue to be impressed with the work of Mr. Moss... I first stumbled upon his work around 2003 when I discovered The Ghosts debut album 'This is a Hospital' and it changed my life... Brian has one of the most versatile voices I've heard in a really long time. He can go from singing like a sweet angel to belting out a gut wrenching scream in the blink of an eye. His songs exude a very tangible sense of sincerity; they're raw, real and from the heart. In my opinion he's one of the best underground song writers out there right now, both lyrically and musically.

If you were a fan of Parts and Accessories or We are All Natural Disasters then you will love this album. It's more akin to We are All Natural Disasters, as he's reverted back to a solo act. The tracks are a little lo-fi but I'm not complaining it gives them a real candid grittiness that really conveys the emotion and feeling of each song. Moth to the Flame is my favorite track thus far with Rats being a close second.

My advice to you B. Moss is tour god damn you tour.... you need to be heard. Come and play some shows out here in the east we need you out here. You can sleep on my couch if you come to Philadelphia.

The Ghost, which had their own roots in a late-'90s Bay Area pop-punk band called the Wunder Years, released two albums, This Is a Hospital and This...
