Customer Reviews

This one has the goods!

This collection is sure to satisfy any jazz fan and especially those craving the "real deal" in a jazz guitarist. George is innovative and on fire at these sessions backed by an irresistibly swinging rhythm section (great percussions-before the advent of digital drum sequencers-simply amazing). It is easy to hear where G.B. has a firm grasp of the vocabulary of his great contemporaries such as Wes Montgomery, yet he injects his own energy and hot, funky phrasing that point to the future of his own legacy.
