15 Songs, 48 Minutes

EDITORS’ NOTES

"I've been in darkness most my life," laments Krayzie Bone on New Waves. Perhaps that's why he and Bizzy Bone ditch dooming horrorcore for a brighter palette on this duet LP: Synth-y opener "Coming Home" features a hopeful hook from Stephen Marley; "If Heaven Had a Cellphone" coasts on tropical R&B; and later cuts bounce over UK dance. Classic themes abound, however, from weighing sins and counting blessings to getting really stoned, as on "Waves," where the whole Cleveland crew reunites to rap (in harmony) in a cloud of smoke.

Parental Advisory: Explicit Lyrics.
