All time high.

I have owned this recording since it was released in 1985. It is an epic recording from the so far best phase (my personal opinion) of Carla Bley's rich and creative career. Another equally excellent album from the same period is 'Sextet'. Don't get fooled by the schmoozy musical envelope, this stuff is very elegantly composed, and just doesn't stop growing on you. What you might not realize at the first listening is that when you will hear it the 100th time, you will still not be bored, it is just getting better all the time. I know.
