Reseña de álbum

Verve's Finest Hour collection of Nina Simone's work compiles 60 minutes of career highlights, including "Wild Is the Wind," "I Put a Spell on You," "Four Women," "I Loves You, Porgy," and "My Baby Just Cares for Me." Though it's by no means a definitive compilation of Simone's music, it does provide a welcome overview of her Verve years.

Nina Simone's Finest Hours

This is one of the best compulations that I've ever purchased, enjoyed, absorbed and digested into my lifes experiences. She was an extraordinary talent. This CD will move you to buy more Nina. You'll want to know her through her music and she's well worth knowing. I love it!!!!!!!

Nina Simone's finest hour

Simply the finest album in my collection. She reminds me of Ella fitzgerald; may they both rest in peice.

This is a truly breathtaking overview of Simone's Philips catalog (now issued by Verve) and one of the single finest discs in my collection. There are so many Nina Simone compilations it can be difficult to choose, but if you're looking for an introduction to Nina Simone's singular talent there's no finer choice than this collection, culled from the highlights of her recordings with Philips, unquestionably her finest period. Every track is essential - all killer, no filler.
