iTunes Review

No Love Deep Web is the equivalent of an exposed nerve: raw, throbbing, and deliriously painful. Where previous albums showcased Death Grips’ dense productions, this time the trio strip their sound to its barest essentials. “Come Up and Get Me” and “No Love” are skeletal monstrosities built from subterranean boom, technoid synths, and MC Ride’s tormented lyricism and gory acrobatics. The group also increase their reliance on programmed drums (as opposed to Zach Hill’s live drumming). As a result, cuts such as the paranoid “Lock Your Doors” possess a hulking, Techno Animal-style cyborg propulsion.

this has been out for years now

support death grips, but this has been out for 2 years now I believe

Death Grips are an incredibly difficult band to categorize. It's heavy, it's electronic, it's rap, slightly psychedelic at times, but above all else it's chaotic. The intent of the band seems to be to take the anger and violence that goes along with the gangster rap genre and amplify it up to the extreme. It's somewhat satirical. The songs definitely don't follow traditional song structures set up in the rap genre (or any genre for that matter). Often times songs will go off into strange and unexpected places. Some don't even contain choruses and just seem like that rantings of a schizophrenic. Insanity is definitely the main theme here. MC Ride doesn't follow any sort of traditional flow either. He, without a doubt, commits more emotion and intensity into the music than any front man out there these days. Some of the tracks feel a little underproduced to me and a little underdeveloped in some spots but it's still a very solid album. My favorite tracks would have to be: No Love, Hunger Games, Stockton, and Bass Rattle Stars Out the Sky

God this album is dark, unforgiving and ANGRY! Death Grips knows how to make aggressive, unique and EPIC music. No Love Deep Web is such a unique album I cannot explain how much I love it.
Fav Tracks: No Love, Come Up and Get Me, Bass Rattles Stars Out the Sky, World of Dogs, and Black Dice.
Least Favorite: Wammy :(

Death Grips is a difficult yet enthralling project, where the glitched-out productions of blastbeat drummer Zach Hill and keyboardist Andy Morin accent the violently yelled raps of vocalist Stefan Burnett. The experimental hip-hop project started out in Sacramento, California and put out its first mixtape, Exmilitary, in 2011. Despite the album's raging intensity, it became a favorite among critics upon its release. Following a signing to Epic, Death Grips released The Money Store in 2012. The label...
