Perfect for...

I found this to be great background music while I do the dishes.

The best "something new"

In this post-post era where rock and electronic and ska and country and punk and pop and shoegaze and metal and everything else in between have been mashed in every which way possible, until there is hardly anything new left under the sun, LAVs&ZJ deserve a shiny medal for Best Attempt At Something New. The sound on this project is risky, challenging, and riveting to the eardrums (mine anyway). Carefully crafted chaos and a brilliant cacophony of Forward Thinking. Niki's voice is at once primitive and passionate, heartfelt, as usual. Love it.

The first time I listened to this I was unsure of what to expect, never really heard anything like it. But as I continued to return to it I got more comfortable with it, and now I can't get enough of the dark relaxing vibe of this album.
