Solid - Start to Finish

In 2006, Asobi Seksu is getting all the love as having the shoegaze album of the year, but while not receiving any of that attention, this is the better cd. All nine tracks are listenable, and seven of the nine are great, particularly "Cool Green", "Love is Blinding", "Invitation" and "Sun Baby" (in that order). Think a slower, slightly less poppy version of the 90's band Lush, with a trace of My Bloody Valentine mixed in.

I heard this on satelite radio and noted the artist...little did I know they were from Portland! Where have these guys been hiding? Finally a band us Portlanders can be proud of!
