impressively developed rock brilliance gleaming to me from eleven gem facets

"The music sounds excellent" would be like saying "this cheese tastes cheesy!" The audio engulfs my earlobes, and yes- the songs are unapologetically captivating. After my first listen to St. Van Cortlandt & the 101, I cannot wait to hear the unfamiliar flow a second and many more times. Already I am noticing little distinct layers and sounds sandwiched neatly between honest and strong ones. This excites me, knowing every time I listen I might pick out something new. D.E.A.F. becomes immediately infectious, at the least. I listen to All Souls' Parish and think, "There's an easy pair of singles." But the more I hear, the more hits emerge. I think coolly..."this is like a Beatles album!" Most impressively, aside from the developed rock brilliance gleaming to me from eleven gem facets, is that Mr. St. Van Cortlandt has a healthy list of influences numerous and wide- a googolplex- and manages to create this singular musical persona who owns his sound. I keep peeking at the CD timer as songs end. Each one seems oddly short, until I happily realize that the time flies as I listen, like a rollercoaster seems like 15 seconds.
