Album Review

Jazzmasters is essentially British composer and multi-instrumentalist Paul Hardcastle backed up by the occasional studio musician or vocalist. Since 1991 his Jazzmasters releases have provided several successful smooth jazz hits combined with an occasional danceable edge. While Hardcastle handles the majority of the instruments on these 14 tracks, including guitar, keyboards, and drum programming, Helen Rogers joins him on vocals along with Phil Todd and Chris "Snake" Davis on saxophones. This isn't for jazz purists, but is a good place to sample Hardcastle's jazz fusion/pop talents.

Great Music

I highly recommend this CD. Paul and his team truly know how to take jazz music to another level. I love listening to it after a stressful day at work or even at home just to relax and meditate to it.

Jazzmasters GH

Excellent album to listen to on a plane when heading east from the US to the UK @ 32,000 feet. Very peaceful, relaxing, mystical...Shine & Northern Lights are the best of many good tunes.

Jazzmasters!

If you are a jazz purist you need to look at a Miles Davis or Coltrane album. If you like smooth jazz this album MUST be in your collection. I like Kenny G, the Rippingtons, Brian Culbertson, Boney James etc. and Paul Hardcastle (90% of the Jazzmasters) is better than all of them. If I need some alone time to reflect I will only listen to Sade or the Jazzmasters.
